Re: Metal vs physical feeling?

Mental V Physical......Mind V Body..... Both of which are empty.....hence they are not real! If I hit you in the nose, that would not hurt and you would not care? To answer you under the conditioned plane of human existence.....depending on how hard you hit your target, the pain would be directly p...

Re: Path and Nibbana

Time does not exist, you don't need to touch Nibbana to realize it.....For anything to exist it must depend on something else!
So how can "Time" exist on this planet called Earth?

The 6 sense spheres are all empty.....what you sense cannot be real.....it is real because you "believe" it is real.

Re: is the 5th precept seen as "optional" by some?

"Optional" is just a word, a barrier, a filter or a plateau created by the mind.....is it an excuse in the making? or has someone reached a limitation where one cannot reach beyond? The task in hand maybe an easy task for some but it can be an extremely difficult one for others to achieve....."optio...

Re: who is your real teacher?

The real teacher is the one you look at every morning when you look at the mirror..........it is not the one you can see.....it is the other one.....the one you cannot see.

Re: Rare human incarnation

If it's so rare and precious to be born a human being, how does the vastly increasing human population on the planet explain this? There are many other species that have gone extinct on earth let alone other planes of existence.....it is a good thing after all because those who are up and coming ha...

Re: Permanent, effortless concentration.

Everything which is perceived is unreal. To eliminate perception is to know things without the addition of what is unreal. This is interesting because everything perceived is unreal.....which is true. One can only remove the need of "perception" because he does not need it, he does not depend on it...

Re: Am I right in not giving money to a gambler?

If the player is good, one can make money in poker, it is a skill game and not by chance or luck like those in casinos like roulette. A gambler is one where he does not know the difference and is based on luck to win, one cannot win in the long term if based on luck. A good player will only borrow m...

Re: (Between Yes and No) Or (It is not yes or not no)

1. There will be an answer if there is a question in the first place. If there is no question, there will be no answer.....so yes it depends on the question.
2. Neither.

Monkish is just a word.....imagination created by the mind.....what is more important is the purpose of meditation is it not?.....why be trapped by the word monkish?.....creating a barrier which never existed!

Re: How can we have compassion for child abusers?

I have not read the entire thread but based on the title itself, it is quite simple to answer: The problem with this question is the last part "child abuser", if one were to take out this part, it would be very simple indeed. Compassion should be boundless and it comes from the person reading the qu...

When one truly understands.....The purpose in life is to END is it not?

So what has the "teaching" of Buddhism made you to understand?.....or rather trapped in somewhere along the path?
