Why SuttaCentral is so Feminist

The forum SuttaCentral can be seen catering feminist ideologies very strongly. Is it appropriate to maintain Buddhist forums with such an extremism and non-Buddhist ideologies? Non feminist users are getting banned and suspended. Moderators have been ganged up and post warnings against non extremist...

Re: Gender and the Sakyadhita

The East says - the gender transition must be overcome.
The West says - the gender roles must be overcome.
The Buddha says - the gender traits must be overcome.

Re: Monastery-less Monks / Full time Thudong Monks

Does this practice still exist? In Sri Lanka, there was the German monk, Ven. Ñāṇavimala Mahāthera (1911-2005), who lived this lifestyle for nearly 30 years http://ven-nyanavimala.buddhasasana.net/index.htm#toc Ven. Bambalapitiye Ñāṇāloka (Sri Lanka), a disciple of Ven. Re: Why many Ajahns of Thai forest tradition seem not to refuse the 'Permanent Citta' explicitly?

Uncertain assumptions about Amata Citta traditions: Assumption1: This is only poor terminology, causing no problem to the path to Arahantship. Assumption2: This is only a minor mistake, still they can attain at least Anagami, since it is about Bhava Thanha. Assumption3: This is a big offence about D...

Re: What is the most strict Forest Vinaya Tradition ?

Thanissaro Bhikkhu said something recently in a talk that a monk he met expressed (pleasant) surprise that he wasn't as strict with the vinaya as he thought he would be. He told the monk that's not the point of the vinaya. If you identified the strictest vinaya monastery and tradition, you'd probab...

Re: if things are impermanat (Anicca) where does Karma gets stored?

Re: if things are impermanat (Anicca) where does Karma gets stored? There exists only the present moment. (according to tipitaka and many modern teachers) Therefore everything is in the present moment. Therefore the karma is stored in the present moment. Everything is mind-made. (Mano pubbangama dha...

Re: Why many Ajahns of Thai forest tradition seem not to refuse the 'Permanent Citta' explicitly?

It's not good to misrepresent the Blessed One, for the Blessed One would not say, 'A monk with no more effluents, on the break-up of the body, is annihilated, perishes, & does not exist after death. Yamaka Sutta We have read in the suttas that both annihilanism and eternalism are incorrect. And it ...
