Thank you Robert.
Yes. It appears you can practice Vipassana with any Kaya sankhara.
Can a person practice Vipassana while having intercourse?
Can a person practice Vipassana while killing an animal?
If not why not?
No, because of presence of 5 hindrances. :anjali:

Re: Consciousness

Is there conditioned persons in the DO? Is there still consciousness in post nibanna? There is no individual consciousness in Unconditioned Dhamma. Actualy Ian not even sure that we can speak about consciousness... but rather about Purity of that element. Purity is the only quality it have, it's pu...

Re: Jedi inspiration for Buddhist celibacy

Maybe just because they are not interested in sex and thats why they practice celibacy? Yes, there is people who just never been interested in it... As people who never been interested in cooking, does this non-cooking tendency make them special? I don't think so, they just find cooking not interest...

Re: Body Odor stinks to high heaven

Oh too bad, I don't understand a thing you wrote and you don't understand my joke . I think we just leave everything. By the way your spelling is atrocious. Which school did you go to? I would like to go there and tell the teachers they didn't do a good job. Just a joke, don't get offended. Do take...

Re: Body Odor stinks to high heaven

Before we reflect on this good or bad question of sex let me tell you a joke. This guy from Finland went to a brothel and as he was coming out of the room another customer impatiently waiting outside asked him, "Are you finished?" He was surprised and answered,"Yes I am, how did you know that?" Ok ...

Sex is good and bad both at the same time.
Good or bad for what purpose? Why it is good and why it is bad for you?

"Good and bad" is an intresting deep question, if you want we can reflect on it together ;)

Re: Body Odor stinks to high heaven

Oh, no I don't stink that's for sure. I have a feeling I smell like the devas. How do devas smell , ah well, sweet pleasant smell like a ripe peach. On top of that from time to time a hormone makes my body odor attract the opposite sex and they like to have sex with me. At times I had to keep away ...

Re: Repeated contemplation of things arising within a container

If the presently enduring visual experience, is completely within the container of a body, and is subject to disappearance at any given moment, then why crave for it? Why do I crave for pleasant visual experiences, over and over again, when I seemingly know that it is unownable and utterly beyond m...

Re: Can one equate nibbana to Atta ?

"There is, bhikkhus, Unborn, Uncreated, Unconditioned. If there wasn't be this Unborn, Uncreated, Unconditioned - it will impossible to get free from what is born, created, conditioned." As I understand, Nibbana (extingushement, cessation, dispassion, ...) is a result of the awakening to the Uncondi...

Re: Romanticism and Buddhist Practice

Yes I think that Dhamma is romantic, if we understand romantism as rebellion, revolutionary movement. As concern mentality and emotions, one big Ajahn said that: - Sotapanna is free from all what happens "in the head" (thoughts, concepts etc) - Anagami is free from all what happens "in the heart" (e...

Re: Dhamma and Mathematics

It's true, it's just a language ;) But I found that using maths to describe Dhamma can be intresting ;) Actualy it seems that Lord Buddha and other great Masters used maths quite often by mean of similies to describe Dhamma. Because maths is a language of relationships, and using smilies is also a l...

Re: Dhamma and Mathematics

The conditioned world is subject to a set of lows known as Niyama. Kamma Niyama, Dhamma Niyama, Utu Niyama, Bijuniyama and Citta Niyama If I am not mistaken the Niyama such as Dhamma may be explained in mathematics etc. However, mathematics alone might not cover the whole set of phenomena. Oh i see...

It is good thinking. However applicable only to a mundane existence.
The way I understand this can not be applied to supermundane as it is unconditioned.
Can you tell more Sarath ?:)

Dhamma and Mathematics

Hello friends :anjali: It's said that the mathematics are the language of the World, that they shows the relationship between dhammas, and our task as practitioners is to se see these relationship in way to deconstruct and dispationate our minds. So... It seems to me that Sila Samadhi and Panna are ...
