that's the regional expert on theravada buddhism's (ajahn thanissaro's) statement, based on what is in the suttas. Really? in that case I prefer the scholar expert on theravada buddhism's (Ven. Which part, that birth control pills don't fool the body into thinking it is pregnant already or that they don't cause weight in the breasts and stomach to accumulate as a result? I know from personally speaking to people who take them that it is true. Both parts. Although there may be side effects...
