Re: Jordan Peterson - Developing Your Inner Psychopath

This is pretty much BS. Not only because JP is a narcissist himself, but also because Psychopathy is so deeply ingrained that it would be very hard to develop it from scratch. Funny enough some form of perceptual stability can help with that - that's why breivik used meditation to dissociate himself...

Re: Does birth & death is destined or probability ?

The ability to choose such things after you die is directly proportional to your ability to control your dreams in this life.

Re: Why a good nihilist experience rebirth?

Why a good nihilist experience rebirth? Suppose there is a person who doe does not believe in rebirth and Kamma but he performs the good action. Basically, he follows the Noble Eightfold path except the right view but he does not believe in a self. Why is he not an Arahant? Because nihilism propose...

Re: Convertion of muslims

Ok, then you are of course right! The problem is in some countries (like mine), if you want to officially declare that you believe in religion-X (like to put that into a document) you can only do that, if you first also officially declare that you don't believe in your "original" religion-Y anymore,...

Re: Convertion of muslims

So according to article https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apostasy_in_Islam most of muslim thinking that man committing Apostasy from Islam should killed. I think muslims if they converted to Islam should not tell anyone, otherwise they can be killed. So the second sentence should be something like I t...

I don't see any misunderstanding. You have a friend who likes fascist philosophy you found worthy of posting. You don't like to be criticized for that and call that poisonous. In all honesty, please tell me: before reading this post, were you aware of the existence of the Arakan Rohingya Salvation A...

Re: The 'silent crisis' of Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh

You actually haven't addressed my post, which you seem to point at here. Where i talked about your friend. No I haven't and don't plan to. Also I did not refer to your post. I believe I quoted lyndon taylor. And no he is not my friend. You seem to think I agree with what that person says. There is ...

Re: The 'silent crisis' of Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh

What is the "anti Muslim" view? I am going to assume your remark here refers to previous posts on this thread. Saying there are two sides to every conflict and both should be investigated before having an opinion is not the same as taking sides. Did this thread include any investigation on the othe...

I don't know, does a state really belong to anybody? Maybe your own property but the whole state? But that does not make th...

Re: Question about the paramatman

Now this is interesting. If i understand you correctly, you yourself are constructing a duality here. One between illusion (maya) and a reality? (permanent?) that lies behind the seemingly transient phenomena. You are actually describing atman perfectly. So actually you yourself according to your o...

Re: Resistance/tightness in practicing loving kindness

When trying to cultivate metta for myself and others, I experience this tightening/resisting in the chest. It is, as if I feel like I and those around me do not deserve to be at peace. Having once read that metta is one of the quickest ways to experience the fruits of practice, I must say that I ju...
