You are me, I am you.

I am Ajahn Mun.

You are Ajahn Mun.
You are not Ajahn Mun. Ajahn Mun wasn't the Buddha. Are you trying to say you are Buddha again?

Since you said
you = Ajahn Mun; and Ajahn Mun = Buddha
Yes. And so are you.

Re: Why Monks Say Kasina Very Dangerous

The saint life is not about playing around.

Look at Devadatta. Enamoured with his own Siddhi-lights<—-

Purify the mind.

Do not be enamoured with all the lights and colours.

Why Monks Say Kasina Very Dangerous

https://mahamevnawa.lk/are-you-afraid-of-meditation/

Many monks say, Kasina is dangerous. People use Kasina to play around and as entertainment, is this what we want?

Kasina can lead you to hell if your intentions are not right.

He is an amazing teacher.

His talk on "why no one really wants sensuality" is top-notch.

I also love his talk on respecting other Buddhist traditions.

Peace and enlightenment. :anjali:
Will check both out. Thanks my friend.

Re: Anatta vs Kamma

Still you cannot grasp their essence. Being aware and distinguishing are two different things. I don't think you need an essence in order to distinguish something. Unicorns and Elves have no essence. Both do not exist. They are only concepts, but as concepts I can still be aware of them and disting...

Distinguished might fit better, but let's work with perception. What is perceived if it is not-self? All Khandas = dependent on birth If there is no birth, nothing comes into existence. If there is birth, khandas come into existence If there is no clinging there is no birth If there is no birth, ho...

So nothing can ultimately be discerned? I’m going to replace your word Discerned with “Perception” if that is okay with you Distinguished might fit better, but let's work with perception. Nothing can be perceived, if there is not the perceiver. The perceiver is conditioned. Perception is conditione...

There are also folktales that Venerable Ānanda committed suicide using the air kasina. The winds then divided the relics of his body and spirited them to the various stupas that were to house them. That aside for a moment: you can be advanced in the fire kasina and not be an Arhat. There is also a ...
