If you can stop eating sugar cold turkey, do it. But if this proves overly difficult for you, as it has for me, you can try substituting for it. I find a small piece of dark chocolate (70%+) satisfies my craving for dessert while keeping sugar consumption down. Carbonated water substitutes for soda....
