Re: How to practise sati ?

Satipathana or Anapanasati is the practice of Sati. The Satipatthana Sutta describes the practice of sati. The four tetrads of anapanasati look like a derivative version of satipatthana, where attention is split between the breath and lots of other things. Rather confusing , like trying to do two t...

Re: How to practise sati ?

What I refer to is while you practice Anapanasati , how do you abandon ignorance?
This is generally happens in the third and the fourth tetrad.
The way I see it reflecting on Anicca, Dukkha, and Anatta is how the ignorance abandoned.

Yes, I noticed that , but how do you relate it with paticasamuppada ?
Do you mean Noble Eightfold Path?
The way to eliminate ignorance is by right view.

Re: Can we practice Anapanasati only in sitting (cross leg) position?

Before doing any task we all take a breath first.
Then we hold the breath and do the task.
When we finish the task we exhale.
What we have to do is mindful of that breath.

Can we practice Anapanasati only in sitting (cross leg) position?

Can we practice Anapanasati only in sitting (cross leg) position? From another discussion: Obviously it is limited to the in an out breath in Anapanasati. When a meditator is sitting cross-legged with back erect, obviously they cannot engage in any unwholesome bodily actions (such occurs in those ka...

Re: Is buddhism difficult? Why?

Can the path to nibbana be broken down into such small gradual steps that hopping from one step to the next becomes devoid of any difficulty? Of cause, you can. Buddhism is for every person. It is the gradual training. One step at a time. Start with Sila. What is important is the persistence and pa...

Re: Working with grief

Grief will be fully eliminated only by Anagamis.
Satipattana and contemplation on Anatta, Dukkha, and Anatta help a lot.
I hope you are coping with the lost one.

Goal should be samadhi. Enough time spent in samadhi can cure all kinds of issues.
Thanks.
Could Mitya Samadhi or wrong concentration lead to a Panic attack?
