Re: Will Westerners ever catch Buddhism ?

Not to digress, but isn't liberation something that JUST happens? Not something you strive for and attain? Even the Buddha suddenly attained it and NOT while he was practising various spiritual disciplines. It just happens, but it just happens after many years or many lifetimes of cultivating the p...

Re: Why Buddhist say "Sadhu", "Sadhu""Sadhu" after and before a Dhamma talk?

As per Santa's link: Mahasi Sayadaw gives some insight, if not an actual answer in his discourse on the Hemavata Sutta: The Buddha was constantly into the jhāna, and for that He is adorable. While, after the end of a part of a sermon the audience exclaimed in one voice, "Sādhu! Sādhu! Sādhu! (Well d...

Found some information about it for you:
I thought that means "Good"
Perhaps it is the way to get the attention of the crowd before the talk like ringing a bell.
Perhaps this could be the appreciative joy (Mudita of Brahamavihara)

Re: Will we ever find a good Theravada Forum

no matter how accurate - is going to be a layer to wade through in order to gain that access. This is a very good point. Any person who criticise Buddhist rituals, stories, Vinaya etc. should understand this protecting layer. Perhaps this is a natural protection. You can't find a banana without a p...

Re: Is it possible to enjoy the five sensual feelings once you experience Jhana?

Does the video talk about a time limit kind of a thing after a jhana? And who gives this talk? Thanks!
The video does not talk about the time limit but your post and reasoning seem pretty good.
The video is by Ven. Kumara Kassapa.

Re: What is Nirodha?

Can we start the process of cessation (Nirodha) in the middle of the reverse order (not at the beginning -"With the complete eradication and cessation of ignorance, reaction (conditioning) ceases;"?
For instance, can I start it at "with the cessation of craving and aversion, clinging ceases;"?

Then what is meant by Nirodha? Try to say on topic. If it is not known what "nama" is then what is the point of asking the above question? I think I am in staying in the topic. I am trying to understand what Nama means. If we can find what is meant by nama-rupa Nirodha we can get close to the answe...

Indeed, but i was referring to ending suffering as a main driver of human behavior regardless of the teachings they follow. Most humans formulate it as "seeking happiness" though.
Agree.
Defining your goal is very critical otherwise you end up with somewhere else.
