Re: Report on UK "Faith Schools"

Perhaps I missed somethings. https://www.muslim-library.com/english/women-who-deserve-to-go-to-hell/  The article did not single out this book as being muslim....it is being singled out as an example of things which (evidently) are contrary to what the law requires of faith schools. As I have...

Re: The Truth About The Rohingya Lie

Greetings chownah, so, retrofuturist, perhaps you should please calm down. Don't worry, I'm cool. 8-) From my perspective, we're all against murder, all against rape, all against violence, all against dislocation and the wanton destruction of property. (Someone correct me here, if I'm wrong...) I f...

Re: How to teach children to think for themselves?

How to teach children to think for themselves fills up volumes. Teaching them this starts at birth. When a newborn smiles at its caregiver and the caregiver smiles back the newborn soon learns that he/she is connected to a world and that the world responds to his/her initiatives. The baby learns tha...

These are just the facts that were presented.... The article made ...

Re: Dhammas

I learned the word 'dharma' literally means ' to support ' or ' to uphold '. For example: The Classical Sanskrit noun dharma is a derivation from the root dhṛ, which means "to hold, maintain, keep"... It is derived from an older Vedic Sanskrit n-stem dharman-, with a literal meaning of "bearer, sup...

calling what he is selling buddhism, seems to me dishonest rather than sincere.
This kind of judgment can very easily lead to the vast majority of thai people being labeled dishonest for calling themselves buddhists.

Lyndon, 1) The term isn't 'discredited', just questioned. Not the same. 2) You beg the question: what is being asked is whether the situation as reported, is how the situation really is - you assume it to be so. Nobody denies that villages have been burned, what people ask is who actually did the b...

Do you actually think that by discrediting the term Rohingya, you can minimalise the atrocitees that have been perpetrated against Rakhine state Muslims; Rohingya??? The teachings would not appear to not look upon usury favourably or ideally given they say indebtedness is bondage: And what is the bliss of debtlessness? There is the case where the son of a good family owes no debt, great or small, to anyone at all. When he thinks, 'I owe no debt, great or small,...
