Re: Signs of Kali Yuga

I think that the information age has rather done away with most of the influence that these fabricated ages might have on most people.

Re: Krishnamurty-inspired off-topic posts

What do you expect, chownah? What do I expect with respect to what? What I hope is that people (inclucing you) will see that you are here not being a mouthpiece for UG as you imply but that you are being a mouthpiece for your own fabrications. I'm not even sure if they are even based on your romant...

Re: Krishnamurty-inspired off-topic posts

You don't need me as a mouthpiece for U.G. You being a mouthpiece for UG would be one thing but you are not even that. You are a mouthpiece for your own romantic musings on a man who from what I have seen of him would reject everything you are saying. chownah What do you expect, chownah? What do I ...

Re: Krishnamurty-inspired off-topic posts

U.G. said many times that all it takes is a fraction of a second of the break of this continuity and the whole thing collapses, the end of the dream of existence. However, the caveat he states is that no activity of this world-mind or thought structure can ever bring this about. No amount of energy...

Re: Krishnamurty-inspired off-topic posts

I'm not exactly sure what you mean by a 'psychic knowledge' of all experience. Keep in mind that I am a 3rd party relating what someone else said using words that are not perfect or precise. Do they exist? You seem to take particular exception with the way some people express things. It is not a pe...

Re: On U.G. Krishnamurti:The Dharma Seals Of A Non-Buddhist

all these self-proclaimed awakened people should be challenged to take eachother on, to confront eachother, to eliminate eachother There are alot of deluded people who think they are jesus and a psychiatrist decided to try an experiment which was to get a bunch of them together to see if their inte...

Re: Do you think ignorance is abandoned in the beginning when attaining stream entry ?

I don't think that ignorance is "abandoned"....at least not in the usual sense of the word "abandoned" as used in the english language. I am not stuck on using the usual sense of the word but if we are to assume an un-usual sense of the word then I think it would be good if we could define the sense...

Re: Did Buddha ever know about the hypnotism?

I think it somewhat odd that people are comparing hypnosis to meditation when it seems to me that it is unlikely that they can answer the questions: 1. What exactly is hypnosis or what exactly are the various kinds of hypnosis and how do they work?...and 2. What exactly is meditation or what exactly...

Re: What are the scholarly views on agnosticism about the Pali Canon?

Wiki means "quick". . Wiki is Hawaiian for “fast; quick.”. It is not sloppy literary form, a wiki is a summary, not depth. It is meant to be fairly shallow. I think you are mistaken. Wiki might mean quick in hawaiian but in the english language wiki has come to mean (a definition from the internet)...

save the babies It seems that before descent into the womb there are no babies according to the pali canon. chownah yes. & descent into the womb occurs at conception The usual definition for conception is the uniting of the egg and sperm which happens before the descent into the womb. chownah
