Re: The Eye is Impermanent.

By "eye", I think we should understand the "consciousness" that is related to the eye.
If we refer to the Abhidhamma (chapter 1 on consciousness, mental states, thought processes) that consciousness is composed. And all that is compound is impermanent.

Re: Samatha and Vipassana question

This is when approaching the surface that we realize there are large waves and that we begin to be shaken! More generally, t...

Antarabhava

It seems that the concept of Bardo exists in ancient Buddhism: antarabhava. Does anyone have information about this and mostly refrences to suttas?

Re: Samatha and Vipassana question

Samatha leads first to a state of mental calm and peaceful mind leads to a feeling of bliss, physically and mentally, which is growing by deepening samatha. It can also be accompanied by visions: color, waves, bright spots or circles of light, or different sensations. After this stage of bliss and v...

Re: Eyes

Some people say when you close yours eyes it's like a wall that would be very close: if you throw a ball against the wall it returns immediately and it is difficult to control. It would happen the same with thoughts. Hey, this is an explanation ... I have not found very persuasive by experimenting.....
