How is it that when the doer does it, it doesn't do the knowing?
As we know there is the doer and the knower. When the doer does the doing it doesn't seem like it is doing it deliberately. Perhaps notions of self and not-self play a part in this conundrum although doing does require knowing, without knower there is no doing unless perhaps the doing is unknown yet...

They have a partial understanding: "When this is, that is. When this isn't, that isn't". So they would understand two of the links. Then according to Ajahn Brahm, the stream-enterer can now forgive their faults, due to their understanding of the self. As a result, they won't punish anymore...
