Buddhist Social Media

Hi everyone! Just a short query, really - as a user of some social media (especially Twitter), does anybody have any good Facebook accounts/groups/pages, Twitter accounts and so on that are particularly enjoyable as Buddhists? I've found myself heavily embracing the Dhamma again a few years of near-...

Re: Starting university tomorrow

Thanks very much for the help and advice you've offered. You're right I won't be the only person with AS, and I must admit that behind all my nerves there is a little bit of excitement about what this could do for me potentially. To be honest, I've not entirely convinced that I ever had Asperger's i...

Starting university tomorrow

Hi DhammaWheel people - I'm moving into my university dormitory tomorrow and I must say I am terrified... I have a very mild case of Asperger's which means I'm "normal" from the outside but socialising and holding conversations is actually extremely difficult for me, to the point that I be...

Best Buddhist Tweeters

Greetings everyone at Dhamma Wheel, hope you are all well. I'm a long-term user of Twitter and find that, if used correctly, it can be a tremendous tool to improve knowledge and understanding. I've been looking for some good Buddhism-related Twitter accounts so I can dip in at times where I may feel...

Re: Save Troy Davis

Thanks everyone. The case garnered a lot of press attention in the end, and it is certainly highlighting a major issue in world politics, capital punishment and the inevitability that the state will kill an innocent person. Who knows whether Troy was innocent or guilty, however when you weigh up the...

Also, an interesting fact, only one nation finished the World Cup undefeated... rank outsiders New Zealand.

Re: World Cup 2010

Were they the ones who cheated "hand of god" style to even get that far, or was that Paraguay... I always get confused between those two. It technically wasn't cheating as Suarez was punished exactly how the rules state, it's more taking advantage of a slight loophole in the rulebook! But...

Re: World Cup 2010

For me, I couldn't have football anything other than low-scoring. The moment of exhilaration when you realise your team are in a good position to win the game from that goal. It would also lose that ten minutes of chaos when a team are one-goal up and the other team go all-out-attack to get back int...
