Re: I am thankful to be an American

I am also wondering what kind of world we would live in if it was ruled by Iran for instance, what do you think? would you prefer to live under Ayatollah? The world should not be run any one country, whether its the US or any other country - its the concentration of power in one hand that causes th...

Re: I am thankful to be an American

Regardless of the merits of their system of government, the Americans are imperialist warmongers (I.e. Just recently killed 500,000 Iraqis for fake WMDs). Power corrupts, and the Americans have had too much power for too long. They are as now as corrupt as they are obese - represented aptly by Trump.

Re: The bare face of American kleptocratic imperialism

Just as with Iraq, the stupid Americans are being suckered into a Vietnam-style quagmire in Afghanistan by Iran. See NY Times Article below. The Iranians know Americans can't control their greed, and use this to sucker them into unwinnable quagmires. Iran will control Afghanistan once The US is kick...

Re: Psychotherapy

The founders of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), like Albert Ellis, were highly influenced by Buddhism and the Greek Stoic Philosophers.

There are a lot of similarities, and I believe CBT compliments buddhist practice.

CBT has been shown to be highly effective.

Its part of strategic alliance aimed at containing threats to US interests. It goes back to 1950s when Nationalist and Socialist Arab movements were sweeping away Arab monarchies like those in Egypt, Iraq, Libya, Syria... They thought Saudi was next. So they financed extreme right-wing Sunni bigot r...

Re: Executive Action of Deportations

DJT owes no apology for enforcing laws others were negligent to do. I agree with you. But its the intention that motivates these actions that is the main concern. For example, the Muslim travel ban does not include Saudi Arabia , but does include Iran. That does not make sense from terrorism or nat...

Trump is using the "Speak Loudly But Carry a Small Stick" strategy. Any crisis that makes him look weak will kick him out of office. For example, Jimmy Carter was kicked out by the Iran Hostage crisis (see below video) The Iraq Quagmire kicked the Bush Neo-Con Crew out of power . Mexico, and other c...

Another thing that I deem immature is to make one's focus of political concern the way people handle controversies rather than the actual content or actual political discussion about matters that are really deep like for example the subservience of politicians to the banking sector at the expense o...

As you may know, depression means low self-esteem. A Depressed person will be defensive or aggressive because they think being depressed means they are a loser, or worthless person...so they don't want to be reminded that they are mentally ill. I would keep the interactions brief and positive withou...
