Re: Welcome back to Paul (retro)

Thanks for all making this forum work! You are welcome. Speaking for Ben and me, it has been a long haul, sometimes very much annoyingly so, but more often rewarding, fun, heartening, and worth it in the time and effort we have been able to give in service of the Dhamma and help make ...

Re: What music are you listening to right now?

I like songs where I have a memory of where and who I was with when I first heard them. I was in my car, taking my son to work (when he was wheeless), and he introduced me to Alanis Morisette. Many years later, I think my son is always still surprised when I like his music LOL! https://www.youtube.c...

Re: POTUS 2016, part 3

Hillary Clinton picks Senator Tim Kaine to be her VP running mate. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tim_Kaine Apparently he is a centrist, lots of political experience; mayor, lt. governor, governor, senator. Yes, nothing like ignoring all of the Bernie Sanders fans. She thinks with this VP pick she i...

Re: POTUS 2016, part 3

... I absolutely don't want Trump/Pence so I'll make due with anything short of that. That's what his guy is saying - http://www.thestranger.com/slog/2016/07/19/24362128/dan-savage-on-jill-stein-just-no and (IMO) he's right (although I would be okay with about 1000 fewer obscenities :rolleye: ). :c...

Re: POTUS 2016, part 2

You know, every day I turn on my computer and often one of the first things that comes up when i open up to my home yahoo page is the top of Trump's head. I can recognize it now even before i see his face and i wonder what fool thing the man did or said already today.

Re: What Dharma Talk Are You Listening To?

I am listening to Venerable Bodhi's lectures on MN. He mentions things that are not in his written translation, so it is a good supplement and review of the material. :anjali: Do you have a link? Yes. Here it is. :anjali: Thanks! :anjali: This is what I listened to today. I found it helpful as I wa...
