Problems to recover password

Dear moderators, I have problems to recover my password. No matter how many times I submit my username, I never receive the email, not even in the junk folder. I have registered with another name (suriyopama_) to send messages to some moderators, but it seems that there are also problems with the PM...

Re: Questions from the Shameful Bhikkhu

Greetings Bhikkhu Dhammakamo. Have You ever considered Wat Boonyawad in Chonburi? Ajahn Tann is a disciple of Ajahn Chah. They are very respectful forest monks. They do not ordrain new monks at Wat Boonyawad, so I believe that you would not need to re-ordrain in order to go there; just ask permissio...

Re: Dispassion vs apathy (or how to cultivate viriya / effort)

Thank You very much for your kind answers. You're right, Rowyourboat: even if I go forth I would have to handle the same issue and learn how to find a balance for myself. I would probably have gone already, if I didn't have a debt to pay. IMO: I don't think you should put any 'effort' or exertion in...

Re: Dispassion vs apathy (or how to cultivate viriya / effort)

Thank You Chonwat. I'll try to go back to the swimming pool as soon as the pain at the arm is relieved. I have stopped taking medicines to avoid more side-effects at the stomach and at the mind (blur mind = no sati) and I can't move it much. I am low weighted for my height (60kg/1.8m), although I ha...

Dispassion vs apathy (or how to cultivate viriya / effort)

Unattachment to things, dispassion, increasing disinterest in worldly matters, together with old age and sickness, is driving me out of energy and to certain degree of apathy. While I am working I put a great effort and enthusiasm (maybe too much) on what I am doing. I understand that it is the righ...

Re: Human realm vs. Heaven

A quote from Achan Dune Atulo, about waiting for the future Maitreya: 75. Hoping for far-off results When lay people came to visit Luang Pu, he ordinarily wouldn't ask them about anything far away. He'd usually ask, "Have you ever meditated?" Some would respond that they had, others that they hadn't...

Re: The middle way between accepting or fighting illness

Thank You very much for your kind replies. Yes, I am aware that I have to practice more exercise. I have started to go to the swimming pool. Only 10 minutes the 1st day but I hope to progress gradually. :juggling: Normally I do not fall sleep when practicing lying meditation. And when I practice wal...

The middle way between accepting or fighting illness

I go to bed around 09:00 10:00 and I automatically wake up every single night at 2:00. No matter if I practice or not practice meditation before going to bed. Then I take this oportunity to contemplate the body and... that´s all... not more sleep. And I wake up at 5:30 to practice 30 minutes meditat...
