Re: What is Delusion?

Thoughts are just thoughts, they come and go. Some thoughts are a product of delusion sure, but the thought itself isn't the delusion it's caused by the delusion. What are examples of arising delusional thoughts, please?? So like the sutta says, one way of dealing with it is to give the mind anothe...

Re: What is Delusion?

Delusion is not like the hindrances, it's not a temporary phenomena that arises and you can combat it with an antidote. Then why is this sutta named "The Removal of Distracting Thoughts" which includes the removal of (unspecified) arising delusional thoughts and how exactly to remove them? :| http:...

Then the evil unskillful thoughts are eliminated;...

Re: The heart as the physical base of the mind?

Interesting, though I take references like this to be metaphorical. You know when somebody says they're thinking with their heart, not their head? So "heart" stands for emotion / feelings, "head" stands for rational thought. But it's all mental activity. Spiny Well I can tell you this for sure. I h...

Re: The heart as the physical base of the mind?
