Rape has been widespread, I guess. But then so has sex. I personally don't believe that porn makes you into a rapist. It certainly hasn't turned myself into a rapist.

I think if I'm focused on being equanimous, then I miss the point. But I also don't think the point is for me to actually achieve this goal.

I think the real view is the mindful view. If that makes sense. :juggling:

I would like to discuss the eightfold path, or rather, an alternative interpretation of it. As far as the 4 noble truths go, I believe the buddha taught that suffering was caused by Dukkha. I wonder--could Dukha be considered a kind of angst that is caused by self-centeredness? Cravings and selfishn...

Thanks for the advice. I am from a cell phone right now, so I won't be typing that much.

I think I have a revised view. The world is impermanent, but people treat it like it is solid. So suffering never stays, and Joy always returns.

I think I'll go read that noble truth thing now. :coffee:
