What about the person who got the controller in his hand?
Perhaps the 5 aggregates? Edit, the aggregates are the image on the screen. It's an analogy, not a literal representation.

Re: Is rebirth like changing someone's name?

Are you running out of questions Sarath? I like analogies, some good ones by budo and whynotme. Rebirth is like a television. The remote control is kamma. The remote controls which channel is on. One moment you're Miami Vice . . . another time you're the weatherman on Groundhog Day . . . anot...

It's already happened, several times, here is just one of many examples:
Although I would add that these teachings can fill in details to Buddhist meditation.
 Yes, certainly the other Dharmic paths are at least very good for Samadhi, imo. And probably Sila too.

Did I end up on the dharma wheel engaged forum?
Someone who identifies as a Hare Krishna necro-posted this thread back up. If he/she wants to discuss further they should do so at DWE or at DP.

Re: Shravasti Dhammika

I browsed thru THE BROKEN BUDDHA . Shravasti Dhammika made many worthwhile observations although his solutions to me have a Mahayana or Christian bent (rather than merely practising the Middle-Way). Regardless, an extremely insightful book. Well written. You just now read it for the first t...

Since Dhammika is now my "local monk", I am keen to read more: You and Ven. Dhammika both live in the same town/city? I...

I have listened to another video and found that his understanding of Anatta is not up to scratch.
Why? What's wrong with his view on anatta? At the closing minute he states that it is not a soul.
