Re: bad karma

Mind is not nibbana Its the same trap as mahayana often falls for conscious as nibbana. Bc they think conscious is pure, but its not nibbana. Re: Source of The Lost Son story

Has anyone read such a story from the Pali scriptures? When the man returned, he saw the ruins and panicked. The took the burnt co...

Re: Dont give up.... stream entry is entirely possible..

Here experiential confidence is the main part. A sotapanna also possess the knowledge of arising-passing away which is not possessed by an ordinary virtuous lay buddhist. So an ordinary person may have confidence in the Buddha, Dhamma and Sangha and may live generously in household life but may not...

Re: Did Thanissaro Bhikkhu really make such a comment on the attainments of Pa-auk and Mahasi??

It's quite common for us to think that among the 40 subjects of meditation and 4 types of Satipathana, Only the meditation which are practicing is correct, Only the Satipathana we are practicing is the correct. I don't intend to bring any disrespect to Ven Thannisaro, we still don't know whether the...

Too soon the Ven Samahita has passed away! He was always diligent in sharing the dhamma, He helped many through his beautiful youtube videos.

I am very grateful to him. May he attain the deathless!

Re: I’m done with laylife.

I am happy that you're making a wise decision to ordain. It really takes a lot of past merits to leave the lay life and become a monk in the Buddha's Sasana. I really don't have an advice for you on how and where to ordain in the covid-19 pandemic. The dhamma is never closed and for time being you ...
