Re: Why do Americans not have to announce which country they are from?

To answer your question...Americans will assume any ".com" domain is automatically American...(isn't it?) and will assume every other person is most likely American as well. ("Those foreign people have their own websites") ...and since, you know, we invented everything... Hope it helps. :an...

Re: Buddhists bowing to golden statues...

And for what reason is a Buddha awakened for themselves worthy of a monument? So that many people will inspire confidence in their hearts, thinking: ‘This is the monument for that Buddha awakened for himself!’ And having done so, when their body breaks up, after death, they are reborn in a good pla...

Re: Hauling Truckloads of Beer (Right Livelihood)

Perhaps I had overlooked the Greater Expedition of Livelihood somewhere in the scriptures. Ah well. I think it ...

Re: Hauling Truckloads of Beer (Right Livelihood)

Is it possible for you to refuse the assignment without jeopardising your job? It is not an ideal situation but it sounds to me your intention is to haul whatever goods your employer directs you to. It would be different if your intention is to haul beer. From what Ive heard, the beer loads are hig...

Re: Schools of Buddhism mind map

Nice. I noticed left side withought countries names. Zen is Japan and China, yeah? Mindmaps are fun. If you have a smartphone, my favorite app is "Mindly" if you dont know about it already. Soon they are going to create some different addons for it. Its actually a great stress reliever when thoughts...

Buddhists bowing to golden statues...

I've got nothing but love towards the buddhist teachings and the pali cannon. When traveling to Thailand, though, I notice people bowing to statues and lighting insence..near and inside of temples. I do not know why, but sometimes the sight of it is offputting. As it reminds me of the story of Moses...

Hauling Truckloads of Beer (Right Livelihood)

I'm about to work for a trucking company that occasionally hauls lots of beer.

It seems no other place wants me and they are great people to work for from what I hear with decent pay.

Is this going to create hell karma?

:tantrum: Lol

Thanks for answering.
