Re: What Now?

Hi Heavside, I am not sure where you reside, but if you are anywhere near Thailand or want to go to Thailand for a holiday, I recommend stopping by the foundation (the Dhamma Study and Support Foundation) for a few weeks. They meet on Saturdays around the back for the English speaking group. https:/...

The only two options are the Big Rip or the Big Freeze.
Yes, that's right... at the present moment in time.

Those are just hypotheses, by the way. Neither qualify as hard science since they haven't been subjected to the scientific method, which they never will be.

Re: Urgent Clean Water needed for Skin Disease Outbreak among Buddhist Novices

i was compelled to donate but i had concerns about the site; any way you could alleviate them? While I would like to see you donate, I notice that while they have a "secure" https connection, the certificate is issued by CloudShare. Re: The Mahanidessa is a Commentary?

This is a good example of how the modern so called "buddhology" works. What real arguments does the author have? Aṭṭhaka and the Pārāyana Vagga are old (this is indeed generally accepted), then he says " It seems that they had been in existence as distinct anthologies for centuries before the compi...

In othe...

Oh my mistake. Thank you for the clarification. This talk was the first I've been exposed to her. I definitely plan to seek out more of her talks though.
Great! There are many audio files here:

Re: Sujin Boriharnwanaket: quotes

I listened. I thought it was interesting. I got the feeling that sujin thinks his view is the right view and bhikkhu bodhi doesn't get it. I could be wrong though, I don't know the circumstances. Maybe they were speaking in front of the crowd and he was laying it all out for the sake of teaching th...
