Re: Strong aversion against blue veins
when you are seeing the body as it is you will be repulsed by it, and thats not just veins, it's head hairs, body hairs, nails, teeth, skin, all of it is not only repulsive but impermanent so sorry you are worried about your family but dispassion is a good trade-off

Re: Gender and the Sakyadhita
women can fulfill the highest goal of buddhist practice, which is arahantship. in this way we purport women's competency. womanhood as an identity and a preparation are to be transcended by wisdom. specifically reaching out to women, idk, depends like, prioritizing one's generosity and compassion ba...

If the monastic in the video isn't Theravadin then this belongs in "Connections...". Let me know if I should move it. what if its a tibetan talking about dharma/dhammapada?? like, if they're talking about some apocryphal text sure but the above sectarianism isn't appropriate for the dhamm...

Re: in my opinion the buddha knew science and technology
Mind precedes all mental states. Mind is their chief; they are all mind-wrought. If with an impure mind a person speaks or acts suffering follows him like the wheel that follows the foot of the ox. https://suttacentral.net/dhp/en/buddharakkhita From the defilement of the mind are beings defiled. in my opinion the buddha knew science and technology

Maybe check out the Simsapa Sutta if you want to learn the Buddha's attitude about that which he did not tea...
