Re: An Amazing opportunity - ven. Wajirabuddhi Thero
As explained earlier after listing on his dhamma sermons and having dhamma discutions and observing his behaviour. I believe that he is in this great position. His explanation of dhamma is perfect and no one can explain it like that without having that experiance. So I believe so. I did not hang on...

Re: Bhante Jag - Euthanasia
These are not pure sources. please refer to the "Channovāda Sutta" in Majjhima Nikāya. That Sutta clearly mentioned that Channa knew about his attainment (Arahantship) before suicide. He tell about his attainment to Sāriputta and Ven Sāriputta questioned him about the path as "Chabbis...

Re: Bhante Jag - Euthanasia
http://www.palikanon.com/english/pali_names/c/channa.htm Buddhaghosa explains (MA.ii.1012f.; SA.iii.12f ) that after cutting his throat, Channa, feeling the fear of death, suddenly realised that he was yet a puthujjana. This thought so filled him with anguish that he put forth special effort, and b...

Channa had the wrong idea that he was an arahant. After he cut his throat he realised he was a mere worldling: and there and then developed developed vipassana and went through the various stages to become arahant. what is the source you get this. I just explained what is in the original sutta.if y...

The question is in your opinion all those Arahants (appears to be) were Panna Vimukti?

There are four Arahants who committed suicide: Channa, Godhika, Vakkali, and Vesali. Channa and Vakkali committed suicide after attaining to the Arahantship. Vakkali • Channa • Godhika These are not pure sources. please refer "Channovada Sutta" in Majjima Nikaya. that sutta clearly mentio...

Re: Bhante Jag - Euthanasia
A person who attain fourth Jhana has neither pain nor pleasure. They are imbued with equanimity. Are you saying these four Arahants (if they were Arahants before the act of taking knife) were not attained any Jhana? Im not saying this. These are on thripitaka. read channaowada sutta adn wakkali sut...

Re: Bhante Jag - Euthanasia
I do not think any Arahant will kill himself or herself. "Does he who will not be reborn feel any painful feeling?" Cases like that of Godhika Thera show that Arahantship was attained after the action that caused there death. There is 4 Arahants commit suicide Channa, Godhika and wakkali ...

Re: Arahants still exist?
It is difficult to find a person who observe five precepts let alone fining an Arahant. Five perspect is not Buddha's teaching. That's why we need pristine dhamma. Five perspect is in the worls before the load Buddha born. Seela in Buddhism is more deeper than five perspective. All buddhist must fo...

Re: Arahants still exist?
I think Only arahants can do so. so if we really need to learn this pristine dhamma we have to find living Arahant. I also agreed with you and I personally believe that some Suttras in thripitaka are not pure Buddhas teachings. As a example Thirokunta Sutta and Rathana sutta. this world is never em...

Because He is one of healthy young living arahant(according to my experience ) How do you know someone is an Arahant? The way I understand only the Buddha can tell someone else is an Arahant. Are you an Arahant? Did Ven. W tell you that he is an Arahant? Did you ask him whether he is an Arahant? Di...
