VinceField,

A better question: What is self?

Where does self reside?

Re: Collective Consciousness

Pondera, Did the Buddha teach that it was possible for one consciousness to know another? I am not sure what you mean by "know another". Each consciousness is impermanent and deteriorates. The important thing is that we do not grasp and take eye-consciousness as a self, or mind-consciousne...

Re: Collective Consciousness

The Buddha does not teach a "collective consciousness".

There are six. Eye consciousness, ear consciousness, nose consciousness, tongue consciousness, body consciousness, mind consciousness. There is no enduring consciousness. All aggregates are temporary and subject to decay.

Re: "SuperMeat": solving the Vegetarian Debate?

Bhikkhu Pesala, I agree in regards to factory farming. I don’t support factory farming or Monsanto agriculture. There is nothing natural about either of these, they create great harm. No thanks. This product is gross and unnecessary. The cycle of life is natural. Let those who desire grains have their grains and let the rest of us just be natural omnivores.
