Re: The world is ignoring an ‘unprecedented’ starvation crisis

It's because we have a crazy celebrity as president causing problems for everyone that such news is irrelevent to the American people. Which is actually sad, but we have our own problems we have to deal with in our country. But atleast some celebs for example like Colin kaepernik have sent help to s...

Re: Thai police raid Dhammakaya temple in hunt for wanted monk

Phra Dhammajayo has invited people to make merit at the temple for personal and professional success and well-being, which Ms Leelavadee says is no different to what the Tripitaka encourages: people who want to be rich must make donations, those who want to have good looks must observe the precepts...

Re: Wat Dhammakaya

Even if I were to post solid evidence or articles you'd say it's either false or the media is trying to damage your reputation. So like I said again, no point in putting my hand in stove again. And no post and any other media outlet that disagree with wpd is out to get you guys. and dhammakay...

Re: Wat Dhammakaya

I agree with james all these wpd followers do is deflect and deny that their leader is flawless and perfect. Arguing with cultist is like touching a stove twice. Done posting on this thread
Will still look at it, but no more posting.

Re: Wat Dhammakaya

I'd like a non wpd follower to clarify please. It is the duty of monks to wash their own robes, clean their own dwellings, and sweep their own monastery compounds , but lay people can also make merit by volunteering to do it. Wealthy supporters could also employ someone to do it, or anagarikas, nov...

Re: Wat Dhammakaya

Yeah see trobinson can't say anything back because he's never been to the Azusa branch. Btw aren't monks supposed to be the ones that clean and take care of their own temple is my question? I know they have their own janitor there but he uses the two twins(I know them both personally and they're ext...

Re: Wat Dhammakaya

Lol I ordained several times as a novice when lp same was abbot and chat chai was the vice abbot. This trobinson sounds so arrogant and sure of himself. I chose not to name myself because they all know me there I'm not going to verify who I am, but if you wanted me to name drop I can. so pleas...

Re: Wat Dhammakaya

Lol I'm not even an evangelist, I just don't like how wpd runs their temple. Azusa dimc proves how corrupted and distorted wpd is. Nobody even wants to go there anymore because all the monks there including the current abbots just want lay people to donate to them and bring them good food. I don't a...

Re: Somdet Phra Maha Muneewong appointed new supreme patriarch

The selection process for the new supreme patriarch was marked by rivalries, controversy, and disputes between the major monastic orders and within the government. In February last year, monks and army personnel clashed during a protest rally attended by thousands of monks against perceived interfe...

Re: America First

I'm gonna have to agree with Chownah on this one. You may feel that you are right, providing articles and quotes to make the argument seem agreeable. But if you don't even live in America, how do you personally know how the public feels at all? Yeah we can sit here all day posting articles with fact...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EOZFf0k9mBs https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=59G_qDI7SZw Lol you know what sounds crazy? An abbot that claims he can read into people's past lives and tells them that because they accumulated bad karma that their child is mentally ill because of their bad karma? Or cl...

Re: Wat Dhammakaya

It probably wasn't you that posted that post but my mistake. but still here is an example of how you portray Thailand and it doesn't excuse you from the fact that you have portrayed Thai people as sheep and in a negative way. the general or specific definition of the word 'Buddhism' and 'Buddhist' c...

Re: Wat Dhammakaya

I agree with Samvera. Chownah was telling me earlier in this thread that I should steer clear because I live in the U.S. I don't know anything about Thai culture. FYI Chownah, I AM Thai and I was born in Thailand. Don't go around painting a negative picture of my people.

R.I.P. to one of the greats. One of my favorite English songs from him. I just love the Frank Sinatra feel to it.
