Sankhara or dhamma?

This has indubitably been asked many times, but the words are so common I'm not going to even attempt to search the forum for an answer, so I was hoping wise folk here could help me. Sabbe sankhara anicca. Sabbe sankhara dukkha. Sabbe dhamma anatta. Is this statement true: Sabbe dhamma anicca? Is th...

Re: Satva

That sucks. Thank you for updating us Ben. May she be free from enmity and danger. May she be free from mental suffering. May she be free from physical suffering. May she be happy. 🙏

Re: I am looking for free books on Buddhism

The things one gets for free, one eventually has to pay for most dearly. A free lunch is only found in mousetraps. My experience differs from yours, it seems. Through compassion, people are freely giving the gift of Dhamma. Nothing is taken that is not given. Of all gifts, there is nothing better. ...

Be careful with that. If you get those books for free, you will indebt yourself.
How so? If someone wishes to give the gift of Dhamma, and someone else wishes to read the Dhamma but cannot afford to pay, what's the issue?

Thank you for updating us all, Ben. Very grateful to you. I remember Sattva had some significant health issues a few years ago. I wish her well.

I get the impression that there are no more births for him. Or if there are, there aren't many. 🙏

It is such a piti, or is it?

In 2009 during a meditation sitting I did in a library whilst sat in a chair, I experienced a strong sensation of pleasure after about 45 minutes. I will try to describe the sensation: It felt physically pleasurable. If I were to try to visualise it, I would imagine it as starting like a small glowi...

Many would suggest to start with In the Buddha's Words by Bhikkhu Bodhi

The Path of Purification by Buddhaghosa

Which parts of The Path of Purification by Buddhaghosa are controversial? Which bits differ from the Pali Canon? Is it worth reading? Can a beginner use it as a starting text summarising the Dhamma?

Maybe The Path of Purification by Buddhaghosa? But I understand there are controversial parts of it. I'll start a new thread about that.
