Re: Hello ^^

Hi _anicca_, as far as food and weight and all that.. My dad is very overweight, but he was told not to worry about eating less, or how much he's eating, or any of that. Just to concentrate on eating healthy , and being healthy(exercise/limiting alcohol and all that). So that's what he does now and ...

Re: How did you come to Buddhism? (poll)

Well I've been doing meditation off and on since about 1988.. then in the mid 2000's(around 2005) I read "Being Peace" and "Peace is Every Step" by Thich Nhat Hanh and really connected with those books. Oh, and I've been a vegetarian since 2001.

Hello MAXUK, welcome back! I definitely agree with others here that based on your post you're clearly not stupid. Daily Buddhist meditation helps me a ton in my own life and I know it would help you as well, just need to find a good teacher.

Re: Greetings from France :)

Hello Vianney,

Your English looks really good, a few grammatical mistakes but that will happen with a foreign language. The key is to get to where you are understood and can understand others. And clearly you are well on your way to that(if not there already).

Welcome!

Greetings from the clear, spacious landscapes of the Teton Mountain Range -- lately I have been wondering if part of the reason people are so touched and moved on seeing these mountains is that they somehow recognize the possibility of a similar clear and spacious inner landscape. May we all realiz...

Re: Hello from the U.S.

I have been a follower of Buddhism for about four years, and I just now decided to get involved in the many online communities related to Buddhism. (Including this one!) At first, I looked into the Zen tradition because it was the most accessible and stereotypical form of Buddhism in the U.S. After...
