Happy Buddhamas to all..
Re: Christmas greetings
Thanks, Ben. And a Happy Christmas to you also, and to all (virtually) assembled here. Nice picture, by the way. Might be nice to pack a kayak, catch the Spirit and head over at some stage...(As I understand it, Tassie has most of Australia's fresh water rivers, is that correct?)
To the Buddha-refuge i go; to the Dhamma-refuge i go; to the Sangha-refuge i go.

Merry Christmas to friends around the world, from frozen Delaware, where the wind chill right now is around -7C and dropping. The woodstove is cranking and the hot chocolate is on; best wishes to all.
Re: Christmas greetings
And a happy Christmas from the other climatic extreme.
I'm just back from a long Christmas lunch on the back deck of my sister-in-law's place, under the mango tree. Everyone in shorts and short sleeves and bare feet or sandals ... very comfortable at 28C.

There are a lot of freshwater rivers in Tasmania, but I don't know about Tassie having the most. The photo is taken at the confluence of. The Pieman and Savage rivers. It's ideal for kayaking and I try and get out on the water at around dawn for two or three hours if I have a late start. It's a great way to start the day (after meditation!). Do let me know if you are intending to come down.
Kind regards,
Ben

loud gush the streamlets,

Re: Christmas greetings
Christmas Greetings everyone.
I thought some of you might appreciate this little-known piece of footage. It's the Apostle Matthew, working as a reporter for the Bethlehem Star, interviewing one of the shepherds to whom the angel of the Lord appeared on the night of Jesus's birth.

Re: Christmas greetings
Im a little late but Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone here!!!
Liberation is the inevitable fruit of the path and is bound to blossom forth when there is steady and persistent practice. The only requirements for reaching the final goal are two: to start and to continue. If these requirements are met there is no doubt the goal will be attained. This is the Dhamma, the undeviating law.
