Another new guy

Post by The Salamander »

Been stumbling down the path for about 2 years now, piecing things together as I go along. Started off with an interest in Zen, delved into the golden age Chan and Sanlun of China, went on into Madhyamaka and have now settled into where I feel I should have began: a Thai Forest Theravada perspective based around the teachings of Thanissaro Bikkhu.
I requested books from Metta Forest Monastery and have been digging into Thanissaro Bikkhu's Dhamma talks for the last few months and am finally feeling like things are coming together. I'm here hoping to find true dhamma friends to discuss the path with and to learn what I can from those who have gone forth before me.

Welcome salamander!

:anjali:
Liberation is the inevitable fruit of the path and is bound to blossom forth when there is steady and persistent practice. The only requirements for reaching the final goal are two: to start and to continue. If these requirements are met there is no doubt the goal will be attained. This is the Dhamma, the undeviating law.
