There is a nice youtube channel I just discovered called The Enthusiastic Buddhist It looks like the videos would be great for someone newly interested in Buddhism. Mostly plain language and a plain, friendly looking, non-threatening host for Westerners.

In reading the scriptures, there are two kinds of mistakes:
