Good Funding Site For A Meditation Center?

A friend of mine who is affiliated with the Bhavana Society ( "Mindfulness In Plain English" by Ven Henepola Gunaratana ) meditation center and monastery asked for an recommendations for funding sites.

They would like to rebuild the men's dormitory.

I suggested kickstarter, but it looks like they may not allow that kind of project.

Can anyone recommend a crowd funding site, preferably from personal experience, that a semi-religious organization/meditation center could use?

if I had to fund a center, I will do it as a farmer... like a farmer-monk that provides for himself and sells the rest to build up the monastery/abode.
