Re: Books by Bhikkhu Pesala
I enjoyed reading the Porisada story. My mother used to call me Porisada when I was a kid!
I did not know the meaning of this until I read Ven. Pesala’s publication. This is the first time I read this story in its complete context.
It is a very inspirational story.

And what is right speech? Abstaining from lying, from divisive speech, from abusive speech, & from idle chatter: This is called right speech.
Re: Books by Bhikkhu Pesala
Having done wrong to someone, one has difficulty to acknowledge his good deeds. Because then one is reminded of what one has done.
I just wanted to say, I am sure you are doing great works. Sadhu, Bhante. Thank you. May it be put to good use.

Thank you, Bhikkhu Pesala!
"He, the Blessed One, is indeed the Noble Lord, the Perfectly Enlightened One;
He is impeccable in conduct and understanding, the Serene One, the Knower of the Worlds;
He trains perfectly those who wish to be trained; he is Teacher of gods and men; he is Awake and Holy. "
--------------------------------------------
"The Dhamma is well-expounded by the Blessed One,
Apparent here and now, timeless, encouraging investigation,
Leading to liberation, to be experienced individually by the wise. "

Re: Books by Bhikkhu Pesala
I removed my site for a while because there seemed to be a problem on the server of my free webhost, that sometimes redirected links to porn and dating sites.
I have uploaded the entire site again now, and all seems to be OK at the moment. Please let me know if you get misdirected when following links.
The Mirror of my Site is still available if you do encounter difficulties.

Thanks for your hard work, Bhante. I have your translation of the Milindapanha on my lightweight tablet. Makes for great reading at night!
If I recall correctly, you mention that your translation of the Milindapanha is abridged. What is the missing content, and is it significant?

Quite a lot was cut to focus on the essence.
You can read the unabridged translation by Rhys Davids on Sacred Buddhist Texts.
