Two Kinds of Arahants

The Mahāsi Sayādaw refers to two kinds of Arahants mentioned in the Majjhimanikāya Aṭṭhakathā, Uparipaṇṇāsa, but doesn't give a referene. Can anyone suggest which of the last fifty suttas this might be found?

Two kinds of Arahants who have freed themselves of all corruptions, namely, those who continue insight meditation, after becoming Arahants and those who do not. The former can get absorbed in the Fruition the moment they have got up from their daily round of monastic duties, while the latter cannot do so even though they may be engrossed only in light tasks.

It doesn't look like it — MN 70 is in the majjhimapaṇṇāsa, the middle fifty.

I found this passage in the Commentary to the Ganakamoggallāna Sutta, which looks promising:

76. satisampajaññāya cāti satisampajaññāhi samaṅgibhāvatthāya . dve hi khīṇāsavā satatavihārī ca nosatatavihārī ca. tattha satatavihārī yaṃkiñci kammaṃ katvāpi phalasamāpattiṃ samāpajjituṃ sakkoti, no satatavihārī pana appamattakepi kicce kiccappasuto hutvā phalasamāpattiṃ appetuṃ na sakkoti.

tatridaṃ vatthu — eko kira khīṇāsavatthero khīṇāsavasāmaṇeraṃ gahetvā araññavāsaṃ gato, tattha mahātherassa senāsanaṃ pattaṃ, sāmaṇerassa na pāpuṇāti, taṃ vitakkento thero ekadivasampi phalasamāpattiṃ appetuṃ nāsakkhi. sāmaṇero pana temāsaṃ phalasamāpattiratiyā vītināmetvā “sappāyo , bhante, araññavāso jāto”ti theraṃ pucchi. thero “na jāto, āvuso”ti āha. iti yo evarūpo khīṇāsavo, so ime dhamme ādito paṭṭhāya āvajjitvāva samāpajjituṃ sakkhissatīti dassento “satisampajaññāya cā”ti āha.

I will take a closer look tomorrow. It is time for me to enter the puthujjana's nibbāna.

Two kinds of Arahants (I cannot find the correct word in Pali, I merely produce the sound)

1. suk-ka-vi-pas-sa-ka arahantship purely from vipassana
2. sa-ma-dha-ya-nik arahantship who started from samadhi until getting one of the jan-na, then vipassana

Both attain the arahants but the first merely attained through vipassana, the latter was began with samadhi followed by vipassana.
