I am Tom . I am from Israel. I am buddhist . An israeli buddhist. Yes yes the jewish state has a growing population of the followers of the Buddha . The buddhist religion has become popular amongst the israeli jews , and i'm proud to be a part of it and teach others about it .
I started loving this religion ever since I read a book about Buddhism by the university of Oxford . I realized this is the one true religion because it teaches us the true meaning of life instead of dependence on a "supreme entity" aka God . The true divinity is to be good to others , be happy and satisfied , not to blindly worship someone you can't even see. Instead , you shall serve well all the beings you are able to see , hear and feel .
Some questions if I may : How do I study the Dharma ? and what is the purpose of the Suttras ?
Thanks for everyone who can answer these .
Shalom from Israel ! May you be well !

Shalom aleichem! Welcome to the Dhamma Wheel!
To avoid all evil, to cultivate good, and to cleanse one's mind — this is the teaching of the Buddhas.
