Lovely snakes !

I have stroked and had a python coiled around me which was easily as big as the one in the Steve Irwin photo.

Snakes are truely beautiful and unfairly maligned creatures.
The tiger snake is usually a very shy creature and will only attack when threatened or provoked. The particular snake I am holding in the photo above has been socialised so can be handled safely by people. However, I have been trained to handle wild venemous snakes and while I have a high degree of comfort around snakes, I am mindful that an error on my part could land me in trouble.

I would actually consider keeping snakes except I don't like the idea of catering to their eating habits. Having said that, we probably have them in the lower part of the garden and around the creek. They are beautiful animals and when socialized totally indifferent towards humans.
kind regards,

Ben
