As for videos I would add http://www.youtube.com/user/BuddhistSocietyWA" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
It's the channel from the Bodhinyana Monastery in Perth and it contains a lot of dhamma talks from Ajahn Brahm as well as others.

Recommending suttas and hundreds of links to a beginner?
I've noticed when a beginner comes to this forum, they're often greeted with an overwhelming amount of material to look through. Maybe it would be better if we simplified our recommendations? Here's my attempt to simplify.
Introductory Material:
The Buddha's Teachings As It is [audio] by Ven. Bhikkhu Bodhi
Mindfulness in Plain English by Ven. Henepola Gunaratana
Intermediate Material:
In The Buddha's Words by Ven. Bhikkhu Bodhi
Practicing the Jhanas by Stephen Snyder and Tina Rasmussen
Advanced Material:
Satipatthana: The Direct Path to Realization by Ven. Analayo
Weblinks:

Re: Introductory resources
Would just like to say as I am currently unable to travel to the Theravadin temple in London, this forum is pure gold!
Could someone also kindly provide some useful links/books on daily devotions please?
Much metta,
Bob

Re: Introductory resources
I found a lot of very useful lectures on Theravada Buddhism, the suttas, meditation practice and so on, by Bhikkhu Bodhi: http://www.sobhana.net/audio/english/bodhi/index.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
They are all downloadable audio files of lectures that are fantastic ways of studying and reminding yourself of the different themes.

A very good documentary for people who don't know much about Buddhism but are willing to learn. It's very basic but beautiful and well presented and doesn't have any serious errors that I could see. Show it to your parents.

This link - http://documentaryaddict.com/seven+wond ... 4-doc.html is to a version with Vietnamese subtitles (I think) but that's a minor drawback.Seven Wonders of the Buddhist World
Bettany Hughes visits seven places important to the history and contemporary practice of Buddhism and meets Buddhists who explain concepts important to the belief system, including dharma, karma, samsara, Zen and nirvana. Her journey takes her to ancient sites including Angkor Wat in Cambodia and the Boudhanath Stupa in Kathmandu, Nepal, as well as more recent constructions such as the giant Tian Tan Buddha in Hong Kong.
