The first Buddhist U.S. president?

Okay, this is obviously toungue-in-cheek, but still.

;)
Rain soddens what is kept wrapped up,
But never soddens what is open;
Uncover, then, what is concealed,
Lest it be soddened by the rain.

Thanks Jechbi

I have been reading Once upon a time in America by Don Watson in The Monthly, Dec 08: http://www.themonthly.com.au/tm/epublish/1/44" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Its an excellent piece.
Cheers

Very nice! While i doubt he'll ever call himself a Buddhist Obama does seem to be more in tune with his Buddha Nature than most leaders on this planet...
"As Buddhists, we should aim to develop relationships that are not predominated by grasping and clinging. Our relationships should be characterised by the brahmaviharas of metta (loving kindness), mudita (sympathetic joy), karuna (compassion), and upekkha (equanimity)."

I like the Obamas. Change is coming!

:namaste:
Liberation is the inevitable fruit of the path and is bound to blossom forth when there is steady and persistent practice. The only requirements for reaching the final goal are two: to start and to continue. If these requirements are met there is no doubt the goal will be attained. This is the Dhamma, the undeviating law.
