As for the immigration policies for monks, suffice to say its difficult and expensive to get a long term permit.
This is a super old thread, but I found it while looking into possible places to pursue ordination.
Bhante, do you know if the immigration situation in Malaysia has changed?
I ask because it looks like there are now several foreign monks at SBS.
Also, if you are okay with me asking (I understand if you do not want to answer on a public forum), why are you no longer at SBS?
