Kumara: What is the name of your monastery and what happen with the malayian policies?

As for the immigration policies for monks, suffice to say its difficult and expensive to get a long term permit.
This is a super old thread, but I found it while looking into possible places to pursue ordination.

Bhante, do you know if the immigration situation in Malaysia has changed?

I ask because it looks like there are now several foreign monks at SBS.

Also, if you are okay with me asking (I understand if you do not want to answer on a public forum), why are you no longer at SBS?

I would have sent a private message, but it looks like I do not have that capability yet, being a new user.

Thank you!

I received your PM, Bhante, but I am unable to respond (messaging still disabled due to being a new user).

Thank you for the info!

Does anybody on this board know how I can contact an admin?

When I look at their profiles, there is no way to message them, and I was unable to find the "Contact us" form (mentioned in the FAQ).

Any help would be very much appreciated :-)
