Why do you guys think that I will make a robe for myself and the only thing I would do is take it on and walk through the streets like a monk? I'm asking you seriously why are you so narrow-minded?
I hope you will understand, that I know what's best for myself and how I live my life.

The thing is, that you don't need to see the point. Is there any reason to tell me in this thread what or what not I should do?

It is quite easy, this thread is about the craftsmanship of sewing robes in the way it is traditionally made in the Theravada tradition.
Any advice about what would be the best to do for me apart from the OP is off topic. I honestly ask to stay on topic.
Question on my intentions are okay within limits, but trying to tell me what I should do isn't.

Don't the suttas mention lay persons "clothed in white"? Surely this refers to white robes. Anagarika also wear white robes if I am not mistaken.

I found this by searching google for "antaravasaka". Hopefully it is of help.

Maybe you would find some more information searching for the Pali or Thai names on google.

Yes, as far as I know an anāgārika wears white robes. I didn't came across a sutta mentioning lay persons clothed in white so far, but there may be some... I don't know.
The link is useful, thank you.

There are many more female lay disciples of mine wearing white clothes lead the holy life, while partaking sensual pleasures, doing the work in the dispensation have dispelled doubts. Have become confident of what should and should not be done. They do not need a teacher any more in the dispensation of the Teacher.

Found another one...

May I ask the Venerables for advice on this particular matter?

Edit 20.08.2014: I asked about robes at the Monastery I usually visit. The Venerable Ajahn gave me two books. "The Buddhist Monastic Code I+II"
BMC I
BMC II
I found all the answers in them.
