Discussion of ordination, the Vinaya and monastic life. How and where to ordain? Bhikkhuni ordination etc.

Is it a violation of Vinaya to have monks carry offering plates under their bowls during an almsround, so that money may be placed into the plate as they take food?
Thanks!
Gain and loss, status and disgrace,
censure and praise, pleasure and pain:
these conditions among human beings are inconstant,
impermanent, subject to change.
Knowing this, the wise person, mindful,
ponders these changing conditions.
Desirable things don’t charm the mind,
undesirable ones bring no resistance.
His welcoming and rebelling are scattered,
gone to their end,
do not exist.

In Thailand most monks utilize a lid on their bowls, which can be turned over and items placed upon...although people who offer money, or anything else, usually just put it into the bowl, whether in an envelope, or not...
