Hi everyone! Thanks again for your thoughts and prayers. I am scheduled to be at the hospital at 5:30 am and surgery should begin at about 7. They have blocked out 7 hours for me. It will be probably be about 4 if they do the quadruple bypasses and several hours longer if they have to do a valve replacement (this was a new development). I have a friend who will email Ben to let you all know how it goes.

Hope it goes well. I'll be thinking of you during that time. Your surgery starts around 4 am my time and I am up around that time or shortly thereafter.

What a relief! Have a steady and fast recovery, sattva.
He turns his mind away from those phenomena, and having done so, inclines his mind to the property of deathlessness: 'This is peace, this is exquisite — the resolution of all fabrications; the relinquishment of all acquisitions; the ending of craving; dispassion; cessation; Unbinding.'

I was worrying about her today. Glad to hear she's made it through the operation; hopefully she'll recover well and live many more years.

Any news? Is Louise recovering well?

Haven't yet spoken directly to Louise, but her sister reports that she's still doing well: a bit of walking, talking, eating, no need for dialysis -- all good news.
