Ajanta caves and Takht i bahi

Postby PRR » Mon May 20, 2013 1:47 am

I am looking for some information on these two Buddhist monasteries. I have seen photos, but know pretty much nothing about them, except that both of these were started around 2,000 years ago. The photos of the Ajanta complex that I've seen are incredible.

Does anyone have some reliable information about them? I get a bit skeptical about wikipedia, but am not sure where else to turn.
