Thai 3-yrs Old Little (imitated) Monk!!!

Post by yawares »

Dear Members,

Today I watched Youtube and saw the news about an amazing 3-yrs-old boy who loves to "play" monk. His play started quite early, when he was only 8 months old!

This little boy's name is Khumpii(Khumpii means Buddha's bible) Sinthusut; he is 3 yrs old now. Khumpii loves to "play monk", and his acting has been more serious than a child play! For example, early in the morning he carries a bowl to receive alms-food from his grandma. After he has got his food, he then chants a Pali blessing. Khumpii is fond of listening to the monks'chanting at a nearby temple; he normally stays with the monks after coming back from school. His extraordinary faith in the Buddha has been amazing; once he even went to sit alone in front of the Buddha statue in the temple, all by himself. The delighted Abbot then gave him a samanera robe as a gift. It is one of his favorite things to wear after school.

This little boy can chant many Buddha's Pali-Gathas real well, and he loves to play monk for people in his neighborhood as you may have seen in the Youtube clips.

He can't be ordained yet, because he's only 3 yrs old (must be 7 yrs old to be a samanera).

Believe it or not!!
yawares  loves this little boy 'play' monk.
