Hello everyone.
I'm going on to my studies of Buddhism and there is one aspect that seems a bit difficult to grasp, I mean the non-self.
I understand it very clearly in an intellectual point of view, but it is hard to understand it in a practical point of view.
Are there other ways other than meditation that can help getting closer to the understanding of non-self?
Any advice or reading is welcome

Hi Ajisai,
This is the Discovering Theravada subforum and the rules say that the replies have to be free of personal opinion, the perspectives of other religions or Buddhist traditions and accurately represent Theravada position. I am not sure whether Thai Forest teachings do that, but this is where I would look for guidance first within the Theravada.

Hi, "Dan74" - just wanted to add that the dhammatalk by Ven Ajhan Brahm, is exellent and precise.
Just listen to it the other day, and "hats off",

If you didn't care
What happened to me
And I didn't care for you
We would zig-zag our way
Through the boredom and pain
Occasionally glancing up through the rain
Wondering which of the
Buggers to blame
And watching for pigs on the wing
- Roger Waters

Hi again - just like to suggest the "followup-talk" of the former mentioned. Just listened to it myself, and hope you also find it fruitfulAjisai wrote:Thanks a lot everyone
