I recommend getting started by learning by heart one Pali sutta that interests you such as the Dhammacakka Sutta. Familiarise yourself with the pronunciation and sentence structure of Pali first, before going into the grammar in any detail.

Other texts to consider learning are the Mangala Sutta, the Satipatthāna Sutta, or Dependent Origination.

Hi Gena,

There's a lot of Pali learning resources on our website in Russian:

http://dhamma.ru/paali/

You can start from listening:

http://dhamma.ru/paali/chanting/chanting.htm

And then move on:

Good luck!
