What are the 55 kind of aggregates?

Postby SarathW » Thu Nov 28, 2013 10:24 pm

I was recently listen to a Dhamma discussion and learned that Dhamma Sangani has enumerated 55 kinds of aggregates.
Can somebody give me a link, for further information.
Thanks

Perhaps take a look at Bhikkhu Bodhi's A Comprehensive Manual of the Abhidhamma: The Abhidhammatthasangaha of Acariya Anuruddha, Buddhist Publication Society,
online here: http://books.google.com.au/books?id=hxo ... ma&f=false

This has numerous tables of mental factors and so on...

Thanks Mike
I think I got the answer to my question in your other post.
Five (5) aggregate multiply by 11 types of states equeal to 55
==============

The Blessed One said, "Now what, monks, are the five aggregates?

"Whatever form is past, future, or present; internal or external; blatant or subtle; common or sublime; far or near: That is called the form aggregate.

"Whatever feeling is past, future, or present; internal or external; blatant or subtle; common or sublime; far or near: That is called the feeling aggregate.

"Whatever perception is past, future, or present; internal or external; blatant or subtle; common or sublime; far or near: That is called the perception aggregate.

"Whatever (mental) fabrications are past, future, or present; internal or external; blatant or subtle; common or sublime; far or near: Those are called the fabrications aggregate.

"Whatever consciousness is past, future, or present; internal or external; blatant or subtle; common or sublime; far or near: That is called the consciousness aggregate.

"These are called the five aggregates.
=============
Can someone give me a detail analysis of this 55 types.
eg: What is far or near form?
etc

Thanks Santa.
I see the point.
It is not worth bog down in categories.
However the Dhamma talk I head (in Sinhala language and very poor recording) gave a detail analysis of 55 kind of Aggregates.
This is just an academic pursuit for me.
