C'mon Stefan,
This site may claim to have some connection with Buddhism but is obviously nonsense aimed at gullible people.

Hi Stefan,
I recall a thread on this subject back in E-Sangha before they crashed and other photos presented as well, allegedly as the Buddha and some were debunked as fake and others inconclusive and taken with a pinch of salt... :spy:

I'd say it's a cheap fake.

The Buddha died a long, long time ago.

That fact is that there is no way to photograph anything that does not exist within the light spectrum of the film. To say that (in this case, with B+W film) you have photographed something that cannot be seen in visible light is always a fallacy.

Also, this figure has hair. The Buddha had a shaved head.

Just that! *smile*
...We Buddhists must find the courage to leave our temples and enter the temples of human experience, temples that are filled with suffering. If we listen to Buddha, Christ, or Gandhi, we can do nothing else. The refugee camps, the prisons, the ghettos, and the battlefields will become our temples. We have so much work to do. ... BUT! it is important to become a real Buddhist first. Like Punna did: Punna Sutta Nate sante baram sokham _()_

Has anyone saw this picture of Buddha?

Post by steve19800 »

Hi all,

I have this a picture of Sakyamuni Buddha and was told it was accidentally taken by someone when s/he captured a Bodhi Tree at Bodhgaya in 1980. Has anyone known about this? Thanks :D

Here's the Buddha from Nepal. Well...he does have Blue eyes. :D

"He, the Blessed One, is indeed the Noble Lord, the Perfectly Enlightened One;
He is impeccable in conduct and understanding, the Serene One, the Knower of the Worlds;
He trains perfectly those who wish to be trained; he is Teacher of gods and men; he is Awake and Holy. "

"The Dhamma is well-expounded by the Blessed One,
Apparent here and now, timeless, encouraging investigation,
Leading to liberation, to be experienced individually by the wise. "
