Dhamachayo does not simply invites you to donate to their cause in order to become milionaire; he is warning that if you do not put your gold into their golden scepter, you will not be rich.

It is interesting to note that the only Buddhist thing in the whole wacky flying scepter clip is a golden statue of a person sitting in lotus position and resembling the Buddha. The rest of it is just venerating the temple and donating money.

I have rescued this article from 1999 at the New York Times.

http://www.nytimes.com/1999/08/13/world ... dhism.html

It describes Dhamakaya as the "richest and -- to the established priesthood -- most dangerous new Buddhist sect"

I've found it at this page, where someone is trying to establish the link between the weird DMC Thai Buddhist Evangelist Channel and Ukraine TV. There are links to several interesting documents here:

Wat Dhammakaya has offered and award to Ashin Wirathu during his visit to Thailand, with the sponsor of Mahachulalongkorn University (MCU). Does anyone has heard some reaction from the MCU academics? I know that the majority are acolytes of Dhammaka, but I am wondering what the non-dhammakayized are thinking about this.

DSI summons issued for Phra Dhammachayo
Image
Phra Dhammachayo, the abbot of Wat Phra Dhammakaya, has been ordered to report to the Department of Special Investigation to acknowledge charges of money laundering and receiving stolen property in connection with the Klongchan Credit Union Cooperative embezzlement scandal.

The summons was issued by Pol Lt Col Pakorn Sucheevakul, chief of the DSI's Bureau of Financial and Banking Crime.

Phra Dhammachayo is required to report to the DSI headquarters on April 8 at 9am. Pol Lt Col Pakorn said the action follows the submission of a petition to his bureau a few weeks ago. It charged Phra Dhammachayo with money laundering and taking stolen property in accepting cheques drawn on the KCUC by people involved in embezzlement.

He said affected cooperative members sought prosecution against the recipients of 878 cheques from the cooperative and DSI interrogators and public prosecutors decided on Wednesday to issue summonses for the abbot and another suspect.

Phra Dhammachayo, 72, had received many cheques worth altogether 800 million baht and the sum had been channelled to partners of his temple in many provinces, Pol Lt Col Pakorn said.

The other suspect is Miss Sasithorn Chokeprasit who received cheques worth about 100 million baht.

DSI interrogators sent a summons to Wat Phra Dhammakaya in Pathum Thani province on Wednesday, he said.

Justice Minister Paiboon Koomchaya said on the same day that the DSI suspected Phra Dhammachayo of conspiring in moneylaundering and accepting stolen property because he had been named as the payee of cheques donated by Supachai Srisupaaksorn, former chairman of the cooperative.

Damaged members of the cooperative were questioned at the DSI on Wednesday. Among them, Siwaporn Plengsaengsri said Phra Dhammachayo should return all the money because it belonged to cooperative members who kept their life savings at the cooperative and never intended to donate.

Phra Sanitwong Wutthiwaso, communication chief of Wat Phra Dhammakaya, later on Wednesday insisted on the innocence of Phra Dhammachayo. He said the abbot had accepted the donations like any monk would naturally do and had had no knowledge about the source of the money.

Followers of the temple had already raised about 600 million baht and gave the money to the cooperative as financial aid on the condition that when the issue is finalised, the cooperative will return the sum to the followers, the monk said.

He added that the previously received donations had already been spent on building religious buildings.

In early March the Criminal Court sentenced Supachai to 16 years in jail in one of seven cases connected to 12billionbaht embezzlement at the once richest cooperative in the country.

World Fellowship of Buddhist Youth President purged as Dhammakaya fallout takes hold
The Buddhist Channel, April 9, 2016

Bangkok, Thailand -- The President of the World Fellowship of Buddhist Youth (WFBY), Dr. Pornchai Pinyapong was unanimously voted out by the body's executive committee in an emergency meeting held at it's headquarters in Bangkok, on Monday, April 4, 2016.

Along with Dr. Pornchai, WFBY's Treasurer Dr. Napolpech Manilanga was also removed. The WFBY exco also suspended all ties with Dhammakaya Foundation (DKF) via the termination of its affiliate organizations, which acted as WFBY's regional centers.

According to the statement issued on April 5, the duos expulsion was related to their links to the DKF.

The DKF is currently being interrogated by the Department of Special Investigation for money laundering and receiving stolen property in connection with the Klongchan Credit Union Cooperative embezzlement scandal. Summons were issued by the DSI's Bureau of Financial and Banking Crime to Phra Dhammachayo, founder of Dhammakaya, who is required to report to the DSI headquarters on April 8 at 9am.

WFBY says that the scandals have brought "shame and disrepute" to the youth body through being associated with DKF via its affiliate bodies.

Moreover its top office bearers, the President and Treasurer respectively are also members of DKF.

A specific case of misdemeanor by Dr Pornchai - pointed out by the WFBY exco, was his role in donating over one million Baht to build Ma Ba Tha's radio station. Ma Ba Tha, led by Myanmar monk Ashin Wirathu, is widely regarded as a racist organization.
It has supported campaigns which has incited violent retributions against the mainly Muslim Rohingyas.

WFBY has claimed that the donations were never recorded in the organization's accounts nor were the Executive Board made aware of it.

Mr. Loka Ng Sai Kai, the current Deputy President, has been appointed as the acting President. He is the first Malaysian to head the WFBY. Mr. Idanont Thaiarry, the current Vice President will now concurrently hold the acting Treasurer position.

When a terrorist monk gets award for peace .. :guns:
I did not know that Ma Ba Tha had won an award in Thailand. This news from the Bangkok Post is really very problematic and highlights what is so rotten inside Buddhism today. Truly, the religion of Siddhartha Gautam Buddha has been hijacked by racists and bigots who have no respect for human rights of others. It is shameful and inexcusable.

In February, Ma Ba Tha received an award in Thailand for being an "outstanding Buddhist peace" organisation. The terrorist monk Wirathu attended the ceremony.

The questionable award first became public last week when a Facebook post by academic Somrit Luechai showed Ashin Wirathu at the award ceremony which was presided over by an elder from the Supreme Sangha.

Mr Somrit strongly condemned the award being given to a militant monk whose campaigns of hate have triggered mass killings of Rohingya Muslims. He also named Dhammakaya and Maha Chula as collaborators in the ceremony which he described as an abuse of Buddhism and an endorsement of hatred and violence.

Maha Chula is at the centre of the clergy's campaigns to make Buddhism the state religion and another supporting Somdet Phra Maha Ratchamangalacharn, also known as Somdet Chuang, to become the next supreme patriarch.

What is also very rotten with the award ceremony is that the award was actually organised by a group called World Buddhist Leaders Organisation, chaired by Dr Pornchai Pinyapong who is also president of the World Fellowship of Buddhist Youth (WFBY). Last year, it reportedly donated over one million baht for the organisation to build two radio stations with the aim of spreading its message to a wider audience. Wirathu was reportedly present to thank the Thai delegation personally for the donation.

If this be the attitude of WBLO and WFBY, what can one expect from ordinary Buddhists that are willing to do the most evil acts directed and scripted by their monks?

As Sanitsuda Ekachai, former editorial pages editor, Bangkok Post, rightly puts it, they only have themselves to blame. Temple corruption, monk misconduct, luxurious lifestyles and the total inefficiency of the Sangha Council have resulted in declining public faith in the clergy in Thailand, which is aggravated further by their meddling in divisive politics.

The evil way that Dhammakaya invades Dharma and Vinaya

By Buddha Isara, abbot of Wat Onoi, 19 April 2016

The Buddha teaches 10 ways of making merits. The following are considered making merits and are foundations or ways of making merits:

1. Giving alms (Dāna)
2. Observing virtue (Śīla)
3. Developing concentration (Bhāvana)
4. Honouring others (apacayana-maya)
5. Offering service (veyyavacca-maya)
6. Dedicating (or transferring) merit to others (pattidana-maya)
7. Rejoicing in other's merit. (pattanumodana-maya)
8. Listening to Teachings (dhammassavana-maya)
9. Instructing others in the Teachings (dhammadesana-maya)
10. Straightening one's own views in accord with the Teachings (ditthujukamma)

Dhammakaya focuses their teaching on inviting disciples to give alms or to donate in exchange for the disciples going to heaven and getting rich. Dhammakaya fooled their disciples that the hammers sold by Dhammakaya are heaven sculptures and that the disciples would be rich and lucky if they hit the hammers.
.............................
The Buddha teaches that a purpose of giving or donating is to spew out defilements or to get rid of lust.

However, Dhammakaya teaches you to give and donate in order to be powerful, to expand defilements, to accumulate lust and ambition.
.............................
The Buddha teaches meditation as the foundation or basis of wisdom, so that you can see the reality in terms of impermanence, subjection to suffering/the heat of suffering and no possession of self.

Dhammakaya teaches meditation as a way to be rich, powerful, authoritative and immortal.
.............................
The Buddha teaches seclusion and being satisfied with what you have, following the principles of those who minimize, abstain, sacrifice and are liberated.

Dhammakaya teaches greed and insatiability as a way to be born in heaven.
.............................
The Buddha teaches that everything is impermanent.

Dhammakaya teaches that everything is permanent.
.............................
The Buddha teaches that everything is subject to suffering.

Dhammakaya teaches that everything brings happiness.
.............................
The Buddha teaches that everything has no self.

Dhammakaya teaches that after the Buddha passed away, he has a self, living in Nirvana Land.
.............................
The Buddha teaches that whoever:
-Sees having no self as having a self,
-Sees ugliness as beauty,
-Sees suffering as happiness,
Is considered having insane opinions.

Dhammakaya teaches that happiness and beauty are permanent and possess true self.
.............................
The Buddha teaches that all things arise from a cause, and that to cease those things, the cause has to be ceased.

Dhammakaya teaches that all things arise from original Dharma elements, causing the birth of things.
.............................
The Buddha teaches that worshipping by practicing what he preaches is very fruitful. It is an excellent worship.

Dhammakaya teaches that giving rice to the Buddha in the Nirvana Land and closing your bank accounts, selling your land and house in order to donate the proceeds are very fruitful and fulfill your parami.
.............................
The Buddha teaches that dhutanga is a practice to renounce defilements.

Dhammakaya teaches that dhutanga means advertising and public relations.
.............................
The Buddha teaches us to cultivate our wisdom so that we understand all things’ common characteristics, including impermanence, suffering and no self. The Buddha teaches us to have wisdom to see the truth of suffering, the cause of suffering, the end of suffering and that path that frees us from suffering.

Dhammakaya teaches that you have to reach the core of your body, until your mind is unwavering, then your body becomes an arahant.
.............................
I have brought up what the Buddha teaches and what Dhammakaya teaches so that all of you can compare and decide who to choose or which teaching you would like to follow.

Then we can clearly separate which group is Buddhist and which group is a demonic cult.

Buddha Isara
